Leadership Development

Clients use Insight Experience’s services to develop the leadership skills of their management team – we focus not only on developing business acumen (quantitative, analytical, technical skills) but also on the soft skills required for leading people. 

At this Fortune 100 client, a worldwide technology leader, Insight was asked to assist in developing the company’s leadership talent pool.  This company was poised to grow substantially — it needed a strong leadership bench to draw from as it pushed the envelope in technological development and customer satisfaction.  Insight worked with the client and another partner to create a perpetually running global leadership development program which has now been in place for over five years.  The program was initially targeted at high potential emerging leaders across the organization (sales, engineering, product management, information technology…).  Later, based on its success, it was rolled out to newer and younger managers. 

Together with our client and our partner, Insight designed a multi-phase blended learning experience combining on-the-job learning with off-site learning. 

  1. Participants initially experience a four-week Virtual Learning program where they are exposed to:
    1. a fictional, yet relevant, company and the challenges it faces through characters in video-on-demand and through a simulation;  
    2. personal and organizational assessments;  
    3. virtual meetings with a team they will learn with throughout the program. 
  2. In the second phase, participants attend a five-day workshop taught by Insight and a partner organization.  Here they experience a robust leadership simulation based on their Virtual Learning work.  The simulation threads through all five days and includes a variety of leadership elements: decisions, discussion, exercises, role plays, and intensive coaching.  Insight’s partner provides specialized individual coaching and some of the facilitation. 
  3. In the third and final phase, participants return to their jobs to apply what they learn and to debrief with their direct managers.  An Insight partner provides a follow-up tool to measure and support the ongoing applied learning of this program.

Insight Experience continues to work with this client to evolve this international leadership development program with the ever-changing needs of the company as it grows.
