Collaborative Leadership Simulation

In today’s business environment, leadership decision-making is rarely an autocratic, command-and-control activity in a well-defined organizational structure. Increasingly, successful leaders must be able to navigate and network across organizational boundaries, both internally across functions and externally across businesses and partners to drive results.

Insight’s Collaborative Leadership Simulation challenges participants to develop a product in a competitive marketplace that will meet the needs of their customers and deliver value for their company. Participants are organized into three simulation teams. Each team manages a component of a broader new product development process. The teams must collaborate and work together throughout the development process to successfully launch the new product. The simulation has multiple decision-making rounds, each at a critical juncture in the product development process. The simulation requires ongoing management decisions as well as resolution of specific issues facing the teams at each decision point. This simulation can be used to facilitate discussions about collaboration, team dynamics, decision making, situational leadership, leadership styles, effective feedback and coaching, performance management, influence skills, people assessment, and the drivers of business results.
