Global Leadership Simulation

Leading an organization to survive and thrive in a local competitive environment is difficult enough. Doing so in the complex and interdependent global marketplace many companies face today challenges even the best leaders. It can also provide new and exciting opportunities to realize untapped potential and create value.

Acting as the General Manager of a business unit within a larger, multi-national enterprise, simulation teams must work independently and interdependently with other corporate business units located across the globe – in the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa – to deliver results. The actions of each business unit have consequences for the others. The simulation presents several collaboration issues and opportunities among the business units as teams manage and lead their businesses. The business units have to work together to develop global economies of scale and scope, while simultaneously satisfying regional needs. Cultural differences among the business units and the regions they serve pose additional challenges. Exercises and role plays are integrated into the experience, providing practice and insight on the impact of collaboration and the leadership behaviors required to succeed in today’s global business environment.
