Why Insight Experience

Insight Experience was built on the belief that great leaders can meaningfully impact an organization from top to bottom. Business simulations make the abstract concrete, letting leaders apply skills in complex situations and learn from feedback about their actions. Our experiential leadership programs are anchored in Balancing Leadership™, which challenges leaders to integrate interpersonal and business dynamics into their decisions.

Since our founding in 2001 by Nick Noyes and Amanda Young Hickman, our team brings deep experience in business consulting, large-scale change, strategy execution, and leader development, along with expertise in group facilitation and simulation design, and has spent 25 years in the business simulation industry. What's in a Name?

When our founders named the company, they wanted something that captured what they were offering their clients: a simple name, a clear meaning.

What are we helping our clients deliver to their employees? Insight — into company strategy and how to translate that strategy into business results. Insight into good leadership habits. Insight into the mindsets of others: a leader’s reports, peers, managers, and clients.

And how do we help deliver that insight? Experience. We give employees a safe environment to test both their technical business acumen and their interpersonal leadership skills, a place to make mistakes and also experience success. Experience is the best teacher, and we help speed that process along. People gain Insight through Experience.

Giving Back

Insight Experience is committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. We give back through employee volunteering, matched charitable giving, and annual donations to Greater Boston Food Bank and World Central Kitchen. The video here captures our 2024 Day of Service with North Shore Community Development Coalition, which improves quality of life for over 4,000 individuals annually through affordable housing, community programs, and leadership development in Salem, Massachusetts.
