David McIntosh, Affiliate

David McIntosh is a management consultant who specializes in executive development, innovation, and organizational effectiveness. He has developed and led programs for executives at companies including Dell/EMC, IBM, AT&T, and Coors in 16 countries throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. He is an accomplished speaker and writer, and has addressed audiences in the U.S. and Europe on topics of technology, innovation, and the artistic component of work. He has facilitated strategy retreats for the boards of more than a dozen non-profit organizations.

Earlier in his career he was on the leadership team of the Ernst & Young Center for Business Innovation, coordinating a global network of leading innovators. In that role, he often facilitated large-scale breakthrough events with groups of 60 to 100 people. Before that, he was a Principal at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), and a Vice President at a leading real estate investment bank.

He has taught in both classroom and online settings at Harvard University. In the Fall of 2017 he will again be teaching an online graduate-level course in business strategy. In the classroom, he has taught behavioral economics and decision making.

He holds an AB in economics (magna cum laude) from Harvard College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is the co-author of The Art of Business, published in five languages.
